Author Guidelines

Indonesian Journal of Agribusiness Management and Economic Sciences (IJAMES) provides detailed instructions to ensure that submitted manuscripts meet academic standards and formatting consistency. Authors are required to follow these guidelines carefully before submission.

1. General Requirements

  • Manuscripts must be written in English using Calibri font, size 12, single spacing.

  • The title must use sentence case (only the first letter capitalized, except proper names).

  • Manuscripts should be original, not previously published, and not under consideration elsewhere.

2. Authors and Affiliations

  • Authors must provide full names (first and last names without abbreviations).

  • Affiliations should include: institution, department (or laboratory), city, and country.

  • Do not include academic titles, positions, or ranks.

  • Use superscript letters (a, b, c, etc.) to indicate affiliations.

3. Manuscript Structure

3.1. Introduction

The introduction should:

  • Present background and research context

  • Identify research problems

  • State objectives and/or hypotheses

  • Review relevant and recent literature

  • Use APA citation style

Citation format:

  • Single author: Smith (2019) or (Smith, 2019)

  • Two authors: Dantas & Souza-Junior (2023)

  • Three or more authors: Ahmed et al. (2023)

3.2. Materials and Methods

  • Provide sufficient detail for replication

  • Clearly describe methods, materials, and procedures

  • Mention data availability and repository (if applicable)

  • Include ethical statement for human/animal studies

  • Use subheadings if necessary

Equations:

  • Use equation editor (not images)

  • Number equations sequentially

3.3. Results

  • Present findings clearly and concisely

  • Use tables and figures where necessary

  • May be combined with discussion

3.4. Discussion

  • Interpret results in relation to existing literature

  • Highlight significance and implications

  • Address limitations and future research

3.5. Final Considerations

  • Summarize key findings

  • Address research objectives and hypotheses

  • Highlight contributions and implications

3.6. Acknowledgment

  • Recognize contributions beyond authorship

  • Mention technical, institutional, or funding support

3.7. Declarations

Ethical Considerations

  • Provide ethical approval statement if applicable

  • If not applicable, state: “Not applicable”

Conflict of Interest

  • Declare any conflicts

  • If none: “The authors declare no conflicts of interest”

Funding

  • State funding sources clearly

  • If none: “This research did not receive any financial support”

4. Tables and Figures

Figures

  • Must be clear and high quality (preferably TIFF)

  • Caption placed below the figure

  • Must be cited in text before appearing

Tables

  • Numbered sequentially

  • Caption placed above the table

  • Include source if adapted

5. References

  • Use APA style

  • Only include cited works

  • Arrange alphabetically

  • Use Calibri size 8
