Peer Review Process

Indonesian Journal of Agribusiness Management and Economic Sciences (IJAMES) implements a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and academic integrity of all published manuscripts. In this process, both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the review stages.

Each submitted manuscript undergoes the following steps:

  1. Initial Screening
The editorial team evaluates the manuscript for its suitability with the journal’s scope, formatting compliance, and adherence to ethical standards. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be rejected at this stage.

  2. Plagiarism Check
All submissions are screened using plagiarism detection tools. Manuscripts must demonstrate originality, with similarity levels within acceptable limits.

  3. Peer Review Assignment
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field.

  4. Review Process
Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on:

    • Scientific contribution and originality

    • Methodological rigor

    • Clarity of presentation

    • Relevance to agribusiness management and economic sciences

Reviewers provide recommendations: accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject.

  5. Editorial Decision
The Editor-in-Chief or Handling Editor makes the final decision based on reviewers’ comments and recommendations.

  6. Revision Stage
Authors are required to revise their manuscript in accordance with reviewers’ feedback. Revised manuscripts may be re-evaluated by the same reviewers if necessary.

  7. Final Decision and Publication
Once accepted, the manuscript proceeds to copyediting, proofreading, and final publication.

Review Timeline

The peer review process typically takes 2–8 weeks, depending on reviewer availability and the extent of revisions required.
